Opal 570, 574

I was told I wouldn't see a piece like this when I visited Andamooka and I didn't. I did see a 4 oz piece at the post office but it was $155,000.Aus. Then Murray Willis had a 1.35 oz chunk for $35,000. So nothing that would compare to this piece. The opal in this piece as you can see from the pictures is phenomenal. Their opal was plain green and no where near the colour density of this chunk. I like to look at it and think the pendant would be called "Thy Kingdom Come", if ever one was made with the full piece. I've seen Southern Cross opal in Coober Pedy that was 20,000/oz. It was fantastic but not as good as this. They wanted $180,000 Aus for 9 oz. It was in big chunks. The 9 oz was only 3 pieces. This weights 155 carats or .99 oz. Beautiful Andamooka White Dam crystal. Price $15,000. You won't see anything like it anywhere else!
